Independent Advice
UKARC provides independent professional guidance based upon more than 40 years of domestic appliance industry experience.
Our consultations are designed to help you understand the likely cause of an appliance fault and make an informed decision before spending money on repairs or replacement.
Our advice is entirely independent and is not influenced by manufacturers, retailers, insurance companies or third-party repair organisations.
UKARC does not receive commission or financial incentives for recommending appliance repairs, replacement appliances, manufacturers or third-party repair companies unless explicitly stated.
Remote Consultation Service
All consultations are carried out remotely using Zoom or another approved online communication platform.
As we do not physically inspect your appliance, our advice is based solely upon:
- The information you provide.
- Photographs or videos shared during the consultation.
- Any error codes displayed by the appliance.
- Our professional knowledge and experience.
Some faults cannot be confirmed without a physical inspection.
No Guarantee of Diagnosis
While every effort is made to provide accurate and professional guidance, UKARC cannot guarantee that every appliance fault can be diagnosed remotely.
Modern domestic appliances are complex products and different faults can often produce similar symptoms.
Our recommendations are therefore based upon the information available at the time of the consultation.
Your Responsibility
You remain responsible for deciding whether to:
- Carry out any suggested checks.
- Instruct a repair engineer.
- Replace any components.
- Replace the appliance.
You should never undertake any work that you are not confident or competent to perform.
If in doubt, always seek assistance from a suitably qualified engineer.
Safety First
Your safety is our highest priority.
UKARC will never knowingly encourage any procedure that may place you or others at risk.
Where we believe there may be any possibility of danger, including electrical, gas, fire or water-related risks, we will recommend that the appliance is isolated and inspected by a suitably qualified engineer.
No Physical Repairs
UKARC does not carry out physical appliance repairs during remote consultations.
Our service provides professional guidance and recommendations only.
Any repair work carried out by you or by a third-party engineer remains entirely your responsibility.
Third-Party Services
Where appropriate, UKARC may recommend that you seek assistance from a local appliance repair engineer or another suitably qualified professional.
Such recommendations are made in good faith.
UKARC accepts no responsibility for the workmanship, pricing, availability or conduct of any third-party business.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, UKARC accepts no liability for:
- Faults that cannot reasonably be diagnosed remotely.
- Incorrect or incomplete information supplied during the consultation.
- Hidden defects that are not visible during the consultation.
- Damage resulting from work carried out by you.
- Work undertaken by third-party engineers.
- Decisions made following the consultation.
Nothing within this disclaimer excludes or limits liability where such exclusion would be unlawful under the laws of England and Wales.
